É bom viajar! / It´s nice to travel!

Todo mundo concorda que é ótimo viajar. A passeio, claro. Alguns não curtem. Mas, a maioria das pessoas está sempre esperando ansiosamente pelas férias pra poder pegar a estrada e visitar parentes, amigos, lugares e relaxar, esquecer das preocupações cotidianas.

"Eu vou viajar!" - é uma frase que causa comoção em qualquer cidadão! Não importa muito se a viagem é curta ou longa, se é perto ou longe. O que vale é a razão pela qual passamos pelo perrengue todo de comprar passagem, reservar hotel, alugar carro, arrumar malas, entupir o carro, pegar horas de estrada ou espera no aeroporto, filas, pedágios, calor, frio, chuva, atrasos, imprevistos etc etc etc... Mas, quando chegamos ao nosso destino, ah que beleza!

Encontrar aquela pessoa que há tempos se sente saudade ou fotografar aquele monumento que se sonhou conhecer pessoalmente a vida toda! Ou ainda nadar no mar tão azul ou simplesmente relaxar ao lado da piscina com uma latinha de Skol na mão!

Viajar é sempre bom. Mesmo que as atrações "de lá" possam ser encontradas na própria cidade onde se vive. Viajar "pra lá" muda totalmente o contexto da diversão. "Lá" é muito melhor!

Não quero questionar muito sobre a razão por trás desse sentimento, mas, acho que é porque "lá" é um lugar diferente, fora da rotina, desconhecido, imprevisto e, por isso mesmo, excitante!

Tem gente que é viciado em viajar, simplesmente não consegue sentar o facho por muito tempo. Outro dia, li uma matéria sobre um espanhol que diz ter visitado todos os países do mundo durante 44 anos de viagens. Tenho vários amigos que já voltam de uma viagem pensando na próxima. Eu mesma, no início do ano, já marco na agenda todos os feriados e começo a escolher os destinos pra planejar bem as viagens com antecedência. E vira e mexe, vou inventando uma "chegadinha" de fim de semana aqui e acolá...

E, dependendo de como você planejar a viagem e aonde estiver querendo ir, nem fica tão caro assim! ;-)

It´s nice to travel!

Everyone agrees it's great to travel. On pleasure, of course. Some don´t like it. But most people are always looking forward to the holidays so they can hit the road and visit relatives, friends, places and relax, forget their everyday concerns.

"I´m going on a trip!" - It´s a sentence that excites anyone! It doesn´t matters much whether the trip is short or long, if it is near or far. What counts is the reason we went through all the hassle to buy tickets, book hotel, rent a car, pack bags, clog up the car, long hours driving or waiting at the airport, queues, tolls, heat, cold, rain, delays, unforeseen issues etc etc etc ... But when we´ve reached our destination, oh how nice!

Meeting up with that person we´ve missed for so long or photographing that monument we´ve dreamed of the whole life! Or swimming in the sea so blue, or simply relaxing by the pool with a can of beer in hand!



I don´t want to question much about the reasons behind that feeling, but I think it's because "there" is a different place, out of routine, unfamiliar, unexpected and, therefore, exciting!

Some people are addicted to travel, just cannot sit for too long. The other day I read a story about a Spanish man who tells to have visited all the countries of the world during 44 years of travel. I have several friends who have come back from a trip already thinking about the next one. I myself, at the beginning of the year, note on the agenda all the public holidays and start choosing the destinations for planning trips well in advance. Once in a while, I will come up with a "quick getaway" weekend here and there ...

Travelling is always good. Even though the attractions "there" can be found in the city where you live. Travelling "there" totally changes the context of the fun. "There" it is much better! And depending on how you plan the trip and where you are wondering  to go to, it is not that expensive! ;-)
